About the Role:

Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unpack, and organize incoming book shipments.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch orders as per invoice or dispatch slips.
  • Maintain inventory records and assist with regular stock counts.
  • Label and store books and materials in an orderly manner.
  • Ensure safe handling of books to avoid damage during storage or transit.
  • Assist in loading/unloading materials during transport or book fair events.
  • Coordinate with the sales, dispatch, and accounts team for order fulfilment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse area.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • 10th 12th pass or equivalent; basic reading and writing skills.
  • Prior experience in warehouse or inventory handling (1-2 years preferred).
  • Basic understanding of packaging and labelling processes.
  • Familiarity with stock registers or basic inventory software is a plus.
  • Punctual, responsible, and detail oriented.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in book publishing, distribution, or retail warehouse.
  • Ability to use barcode scanners or simple inventory software.
  • Willingness to travel for book fairs or exhibitions, if required.
