The application analyst responsibility is to work with the Kofax/MarkView systems functions integrated with Oracle EBS Finance 12.2.4 and other systems of the company related to finance and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization. This individual’s principal goals are to resolve day to day issues raised by business, develop and manage application solutions for finance related systems within the organization. The analyst will plan, coordinate, and design to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within prearranged time frames and budgets. The senior analyst of IT will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost -effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The successful candidate will have strong Kofax support and implementation skills. Key Accountabilities : Analyze and provide resolution to day-to-day business issues raised through ticketing system. Analyze, design and/or develop best practice business needs through technology solutions. Interact with Accounting, Finance and Procurement teams to understand their requirements and design solutions. Define new and refine existing business processes. Convert process improvements recommendations to actionable systems requirements. Participate in requirement gathering, aligning business requirements and best practices to implement a technical solution. Create systems documentations including unit test, solution designs. Support Quality Assurance efforts (test planning and execution) for periodic releases and new systems implementations. Contribute to continuous improvement and development of internal processes. Help accelerate adoption of the very best engineering practices, while maintaining knowledge on industry innovations, trends, and practices. Demonstrate advanced skills while coaching and mentoring less senior team members. Document code and projects so others can easily understand. Fulfill customer requirements as measured in customer survey scores. Show insight, know your application design & data, offer simple, working solutions. Apply team coding, documenting, and testing standards and recommend process improvements. Recognize upstream and downstream impacts; communicate effectively (verbally & in writing). Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field of study. Minimum of 9 - 13 years using Kofax and Oracle EBS. Role & responsibilities Design and configure document classification, extraction, and validation processes using Kofax Capture, Transformation Modules (KTM), or TotalAgility Build intelligent forms and workflows to support L&A operations such as claims intake, new business onboarding, underwriting, and correspondence routing Implement OCR/ICR/OMR models for structured and semi-structured documents (e.g., applications, medical reports, policy change forms) Integrate Kofax with policy administration systems, CRM platforms, ECM tools, and downstream engines (e.g., xPression, ALIP) Automate scanning and document ingestion processes using barcodes, recognition zones, and validation rules Configure workflow logic and business rules to streamline document routing, exception handling, and audit trails Develop custom scripts or plugins for enhanced data handling and transformation Perform testing and quality assurance of extracted data against source values and policy records Deploy Kofax solutions to UAT/Production environments, manage versioning, patching, and rollback strategies Monitor Kofax servers, logs, job queues, and resolve issues in collaboration with infrastructure teams Preferred candidate profile 5 to 12 years of total IT experience with at least 3+ years of direct experience in Kofax Capture, KTM, or TotalAgility Experience in at least one of: Document Design, Data Extraction, Workflow Automation, Integration, QA, or Support Hands-on experience building classification profiles, templates, and extraction rules Familiarity with OCR engines, image preprocessing, validation scripting, and structured output formats (XML, CSV, JSON) Experience in the Life Insurance and Annuities domain especially in document-intensive processes like claims, underwriting, policy changes Knowledge of integration frameworks (REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, document repositories like OpenText or SharePoint) Exposure to middleware, RPA platforms, or custom SDK integrations Understanding of regulatory compliance for digital documents (e.g., HIPAA, NAIC guidelines) Familiarity with testing tools, version control systems, and production monitoring tools
