Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Developing and implementing quick commerce strategies:

    This involves defining the overall vision for the quick commerce business, setting goals, and creating strategies to achieve them, including market analysis, competitive analysis, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Managing the end-to-end quick commerce business model:

    This includes all aspects from product selection and pricing to supply chain, inventory management, last-mile logistics, and customer service.
  • Creating and executing marketing campaigns:

    This involves developing promotional strategies, managing online advertising, and utilizing various marketing channels to drive traffic and sales.
  • Optimizing user experience and conversion rates:

    This includes analyzing customer behavior, improving website design and functionality, and streamlining the online ordering process.
  • Identifying and implementing new business opportunities:

    This involves exploring new partnerships, collaborations, and revenue streams to expand the business.

Operational Management:

  • Managing product listings, inventory, and order fulfillment:

    This includes ensuring accurate product information, managing stock levels, and optimizing the fulfillment process to ensure timely delivery.
  • Overseeing online promotional campaigns and product listings:

    This involves managing pricing, discounts, and product presentation to maximize sales and customer engagement.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and generating reports:

    This involves tracking sales, customer satisfaction, website traffic, and other relevant metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring efficient order processing and fulfillment:

    This involves coordinating with various teams, including logistics, customer service, and warehouse staff, to ensure orders are processed and delivered efficiently.
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues within the e-commerce platform:

    This involves troubleshooting technical problems, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the platform.
  • Onboarding on multiple quick/e-commerce platforms:

    This involves managing the technical and logistical aspects of integrating with various platforms.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders:

    This includes vendors, partners, and internal teams.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams:

    This involves working with marketing, sales, customer service, logistics, and product development teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Managing vendor and agency relationships:

    This includes negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement:

    This involves encouraging teamwork, open communication, and a focus on optimization and growth.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Conducting market research and analyzing trends:

    This involves staying up-to-date on customer preferences, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies:

    This includes optimizing website content, utilizing SEO and SEM, and leveraging social media to drive traffic and engagement.
  • Managing the P&L for the quick commerce vertical:

    This involves ensuring cost-efficiency, revenue maximization, and profitability.
  • Developing pricing models, promotional strategies, and discounting mechanisms:

    This involves optimizing pricing to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service excellence:

    This involves finding ways to reduce operational costs without compromising customer satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile

key Skills and Experience:

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

    1+ years in business development, key accounts, or category roles, preferably within FMCG, food, or D2C sectors.
  • Platform Expertise:

    Prior experience working with popular quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto, or BigBasket Now is highly valued.
  • Soft Skills:

    Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of the quick commerce ecosystem, consumer behavior, and relevant market trends.
  • Technical Proficiency:

    Experience with sales data analysis, P&L management, and platform dashboards (e.g., Swiggy Genie, Blinkit Partner Portal) is highly desirable.

  • Specific Role Requirements:

    Depending on the role, candidates may need experience in inventory planning, forecasting, and trade spend optimization. For example, a Replenishment Supervisor might need experience in WMS/IMS systems and Excel-based reporting.
