Handling Peripheral Blood, Bone marrow and tissue samples for cytogenetic studies. Prepare cultures and harvests cells/tissues to produce mitotic cell preparations, banding and staining. Examination of chromosome/ enumeration of signals as per the guidelines Maintenance of laboratory equipment Strictly adhere to lab Quality Processes and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assist in managing consumable stock Perform documentation activities for the department Maintain proposed TAT for tests Karyotyping and FISH. Perform testing of EQAS / PT Samples Coordinating with customer support and other departments in the lab Taking classes for students Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Adhering to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards related to genetic testing, informed consent, patient confidentiality, and the use of human genetic data in research.
