What we do: NavGurukul’s flagship Residential program works with learners from underserved communities by providing courses in fields like programming, finance, business, education & design, along with assistance in securing jobs to build aspirational careers. Currently, we are empowering 1145+ students in our fully funded seven residential centers across various states in India. Seven of our eight campuses have only girl students. The focus on gender is a conscious choice, as inclusion is one of the core principles guiding our choices and focus areas. The residential program is open for students who have finished just 10th grade and are 17 years of age. So far, we have placed around 1,110+ students with software jobs in the tech industry with various IT giants and product startups. Our campuses are self-governed spaces that the students manage through elected student bodies. The learning on NavGurukul campuses is guided by self-paced pedagogy with a strong focus on peer learning . Besides the residential program, we have our digital initiatives, such as Meraki, Zuvy , and Samyarth, Sama . Through Meraki , we work with students from government schools and ITIs through an online offering to help students learn basic English, touch typing, and programming. Zuvy is our digital initiative that aims to provide degrees through 3 modes - residential, online, and day boarding. It supports students in getting the best jobs in the software industry with a strong focus on problem-solving, system design, and programming languages. Samyarth is a for-profit software cooperative run by Women from marginalized communities to provide underserved talent as a service to socially impactful initiatives & governments and share profits for their work. Code India Fellowship & Internship Code India Fellowship is a high-impact ambitious program to train girls and young women in NavGurukul campuses in software programming by onboarding high-aptitude and mission-aligned young tech graduates for a one-year fellowship or a six-month internship. The fellows and interns will be placed in one of NavGurukul’s centers to transform the learning and life outcomes for the students. The core responsibility of the fellows/interns is to facilitate learning for the students at the centers. Additionally, the fellows will take up other responsibilities, including coding projects & program management. The Code India Fellows will be individuals who, in addition to having a background in programming, have the drive to help bring about a positive change in the lives of children who have not had the same opportunities as the rest of us through active and rigorous training. Roles and Responsibilities The primary roles and responsibilities of a Code India Fellow will include the following: 1. Facilitating Learning: Ensuring learning outcomes Development of lesson plans Design & delivery of classroom sessions (Technical & Non-Technical) Design & delivery of workshops Mentorship for students Placement training Monitoring & Evaluation (Student Learning) 2. Programme Management: Management of placement processes & activities Reporting Stakeholder Management Role Requirements Graduation in tech (Computer Science, Information Technology) or any other background in tech (work experience, self-learning, projects, etc.). JOB SUMMARY The DGM Commercial will be responsible for leading and coordinating key commercial functions at the factory unit, including stores, plant accounting, procurement, and administrative functions. This role is integral to ensuring commercial efficiency, cost control, and regulatory compliance across all commercial operations within a maize wet milling facility. JOB DESCRIPTION Role & responsibilities : 1. Oversee the Store Manager, ensuring proper inventory control and stock reconciliation. 2. Implement best practices in warehousing, FIFO/FEFO, and loss prevention. 3. Monitor stock levels, and ensure timely material availability to avoid production delays. 4. Supervise the plant-level accounting team, ensuring accurate financial recording of factory operations. 5. Ensure cost control through regular variance analysis and fixed/variable cost reporting. 6. Coordinate with corporate finance for budgeting, audits, and compliance. 7. Approve and review all operational expenditure (Opex) purchases. 8. Monitor the maize procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing. 9. Coordinate with the HR team on manpower planning, time office functions, and compliance with labor laws. 10. Support administrative functions including security, housekeeping, and statutory obligations at the plant level. 11. Serve as a liaison between the plant and external stakeholders (government departments, local bodies, vendors, etc.). 12. Handle PR matters sensitively and professionally to maintain the organizations reputation and stakeholder relationships. Role & responsibilities : 1) ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR: i) Project management, Execution, O&M, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical equipment, instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial or commercial purposes. ii) Managing to conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. iii) Supervise and managing to diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity. iv) Closely monitoring DG repair, other Equipment Repair maintenance. 2) System Installation & Upgrades: i) Closely managing and monitoring design and implement new electrical systems or upgrade existing ones to enhance efficiency and capacity. ii) Install and commission electrical equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards. 3) Safety & Compliance: i) Ensure all electrical systems comply with industry standards, local regulations, and company SOPs. ii) Implement and monitor safety systems such as Human Body Discharge and automatic Earth Rite systems for static discharge. 4) Production Support: i) Work closely with production teams to optimize machinery and system performance. ii) Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to meet production schedules. Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity. 5) Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: i) Identify opportunities for energy savings and implement energy-efficient solutions. ii) Support the transition to sustainable electrical practices in line with company goals. 6) Documentation & Reporting: i) Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system modifications, and incident reports. ii) Generate reports on system performance and recommend improvements. 7) Collaboration & Training: i) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and safety departments. ii) Train operators and maintenance personnel on electrical safety and system handling. 8) Hand on Knowledge on Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection & Metering Diagrams, and Load Schedules. 9) Develop Protection & Metering SLDs for HV/MV/LV systems, 10) Review daily work orders and provide reports. 11) Work with a variety of technicians. Preferred candidate profile: I) Proficiency in HV/LV Electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and automation. II) Knowledge of industrial equipment such as BOILER, TURBINE, HT & LT TRANSFORMER. III) Proficiency in Project/Execution/O&M, Operations, depth knowledge of specifications, codes, hands-on experience, proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, Auto CAD, Software tools. iV) Determine electrical specialist with excellent problem-solving solvening decision-making, damage prevention and repair skill. V) Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
