Position: Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) - NavGurukul This is not a job—it's an opportunity for the crazy to play their part in reshaping the world - especially education. NavGurukul (NG) is calling on bold entrepreneurs and disruptors ready to dream, with a passion to lead change and the ambition to scale transformative ideas. हज़ारों ख्वाहिशें ऐसी, कि हर ख्वाहिश पे दम निकले। Thousands of desires, each so powerful that it feels worth dying for When I started working in the Social Sector 8 years ago, I thought I’ve conquered my desire to want a lot for myself. However, little did I realize, I replaced them with 1000s of other desires to positively impact where I can. "बहुत निकले मिरे अरमान लेकिन फिर भी कम निकले," Many of the desires were fulfilled, yet they still feel too few. Given the problem size, whatever you do, there is so much more that needs to happen. Like about a million times more than that. When we started NG, it took us about 5 years to reach 2 crores in revenue, and another 3 to reach 15 crores. But when we incubated Zuvy, within 2 years, it had a revenue of 6 crores. Revenue doesn’t mean much, but I’m using it as an example, to suggest how the EIRs we are incubating in NGVerse (multiverse, copverse, and all fad-verses like that) are able to grow their non-profits rapidly, and build on the ecosystem that NG took 8 years to create. We are looking for Entrepreneurs who want to work with NGVerse, extend on the work that NavGurukul is doing, lead it as an Entrepreneur while we take care of all of the backbone work for you to focus on the core. The initiative can be housed within NavGurukul as a subsidiary, or stay as an internal project depending on the growth and your preferences. What We’re Looking For Experience – You’ve founded, scaled, or led organizations. Whether it’s a startup, a social enterprise, or a non-profit, you know what it takes to build something new and lead it to success. Or any other signal that makes it easier for us to evaluate your ability on being able to do this. Vision – You see opportunities where others see challenges. While NG’s core focus is empowering marginalized women through tech education, we want someone who can also think beyond our existing framework and create innovative, scalable solutions that impact lives. Commitment – A minimum of five years. But we want you to stay long enough to see your initiatives make a lasting difference, while you explore broader opportunities for impact. Entrepreneurial Spirit – You are a creator, builder, and innovator. You’re not here just to manage programs—you’re here to start new ones, launch fresh ideas, and shape the future of NavGurukul (and beyond). Responsibilities As an Entrepreneur in Residence , your role will not be limited to growing NavGurukul’s current programs—you will have the freedom to enlarge the mission . Whether it aligns directly with NG’s current focus or pushes beyond our existing boundaries, you can launch new initiatives that create impact at scale. Your key responsibilities include: Launching New Initiatives : You will have the creative freedom to start new verticals—whether they are expansions of NG’s core mission or entirely new projects that drive impact. You could innovate in areas like ed-tech, AI, digital literacy, or even explore entrepreneurship for marginalized communities. The sky’s the limit. Expanding on Existing Programs : NG’s core programs, like Meraki (merakilearn.org, digital literacy for remote communities), Zuvy (zuvy.org, bootcamp for tech internships), Sama (thesama.in, repurposing e-waste for education), Samyarth (samyarth.org, a co-operative that offers technical and financial services as a consultancy), and School of Second Chances (residential course that works with destitute women without literacy skills to become fluent in english, be good with multicuisine cooking and have an advanced knowledge of nutrition to work as chefs in affluent households) are just the beginning. You’ll have the opportunity to scale and evolve these programs or create new versions that reach new audiences. Collaboration with Fellow Entrepreneurs : NG’s ecosystem is filled with entrepreneurs leading various initiatives. You will collaborate, cross-pollinate ideas, and build synergistic projects that multiply NGVerse’s impact across different sectors and geographies. Operational Support for Your Ideas : NG will handle the backend—logistics, payroll, compliance, and more—so you can focus on building and scaling your projects. You’ll have the support of our established infrastructure to fast-track your success. Offerings: Supporting Your Success NavGurukul is designed to set you up for success : NG will handle the details – From compliance to accounting to technology, we’ll manage the mundane tasks so you can focus on impact. Advocacy & Networks – You’ll have access to our donor network, resources, and platforms to raise visibility and funds for your initiatives. Talent & Collaboration – Access senior and junior talent from within NG to build your team, ensuring you have the support to grow. Operational Synergies – Use our campuses, locations, and operational infrastructure to support your initiatives without having to start from scratch. Expectations Innovative Alignment – While your focus may expand beyond NG’s core mission, we expect your initiatives to align with our overarching goal of empowering communities and creating impact. Collaboration – Work alongside NG’s team and other entrepreneurs to cross-pollinate ideas and support each other’s growth. Scalable Vision – Whatever you create, it should be designed for scale. We’re looking for ideas that can grow and create impact at regional, national, and even global levels. Compensation We would help you raise funds and also provide some initial funds to get started. You’d ultimately need to raise funds for your initiative, with a lot of support and NG’s network. However, what you end up raising will depend on your skills and execution. Until you’re in a place where you can raise funds well, we would provide most of the talent for you to get off the ground. This is a unique opportunity to build something truly meaningful. Ready to dream big and make a difference?

If you have the zeal to lead students to build real life tech projects. If you are hungry to learn and grow yourself! If you have attempted to build innovative projects, if your projects can demonstrate your technical expertise: programming languages React/python and frameworks like React, Django, DBMS, or similar technologies, We are looking for you! Bonus points: If you voice type using laptop’s speech recognition system, and refine your answers through AI - while ensuring it looks as less AI-like as possible. Please don’t use AI to generate answers, AI is to augment your ideas, and not replace it. Whatever it takes to lead students to build innovative real life projects! <3 Key Responsibilities: You will directly work with students/support the team to build innovative real life projects on different tech stack, while you upskill yourself consistently to build innovative AI projects <3 Location: Eternal University, Himachal Pradesh (Rajgarh, Sirmaur) Compensation: 25K - 30K (depending on the skills, project, and empathy) + accommodation and food.

Overview At NavGurukul, we’re building a bold alternative to higher education — one that is accessible, inclusive, and grounded in real-world outcomes. We run fully-funded, residential programs that enable students from underserved communities to build meaningful careers in tech, business, design, and more. Over the past few years, we’ve placed 1100+ students in companies across the country, not through degrees, but through proof of work. But the journey doesn’t end with learning. For many of our students, placement is the moment their lives fundamentally change — from years of effort to real opportunity. And making that happen is both a complex challenge and a deep responsibility. As Placement Manager , you’ll be at the heart of this transformation. You’ll work to open doors — by building deep partnerships with companies, understanding where the market is headed, and ensuring our students are ready to meet it. You’ll support and grow a placement team that’s driven, ambitious, and grounded in equity. And you’ll act as a bridge between the world of employers and the learning journey of our students — to not just place more students, but place them better. This role calls for someone who is energised by complexity, thrives in ambiguity, and is hungry to create something deeply impactful — not just manage a process, but reimagine how non-traditional talent finds its place in the formal workforce. Roles and Responsibilities Build and grow hiring partnerships across tech and business roles — by identifying new companies, deepening existing relationships, and advocating for inclusive hiring Own placement execution — ensuring that students are matched to the right roles, interviews are coordinated smoothly, and hiring is closed on time Engage with the program and learning teams to share recruiter feedback, understand student readiness, and align preparation with what the job market needs Support and guide Placement Associates , helping them take ownership and grow in their roles Visit campuses and expand partnerships in nearby cities , especially by tapping into local hiring ecosystems Track placements and employer engagement using tools like Notion , and keep data updated to inform planning and review Represent NavGurukul in forums and hiring events , building visibility and trust for our students and work Apply if you have: At least 3 years of experience in the tech, recruitment, or social impact sector, ideally in a role involving partnerships, placement, or talent development A strong network or the ability to build and nurture relationships with employers , especially across tech and business domains A bias for action , and comfort with building systems, solving challenges, and working in ambiguity A collaborative mindset — able to work with diverse internal teams (learning, program, design) while leading and mentoring others Comfort with tools and data — particularly CRM platforms like Notion or Airtable, and drawing insights from metrics An understanding of or willingness to learn about hiring in the tech and digital space , and the evolving nature of skills and roles Deep alignment with NavGurukul’s mission — and belief in the potential of students from underserved communities to thrive when given the right opportunity Location: This role would be remote, and you can work from any of the major cities. You will, however, be required to travel on a periodic basis to meet with potential partners, do mobilisation drives, etc. As a member of the partnerships team, it is also beneficial for you to occasionally stay on one of our campuses to gain a deeper understanding of the residential program, which in turn enhances the quality of partnerships you can cultivate. You can expect to travel around 50-60 %of your time to cover the above needs and this can be more or less in some months, depending on the needs of the role at that time. Compensation & Culture: NavGurukul's salaries are at par with most not-for-profits in the country. For this role, the salary bracket is 4-6.5 lakhs per annum. We are also open to hiring for more senior roles in the same function. We will be happy to explore if you bring more experience and expertise to work and are committed to NavGurukul's vision and aligned with its values. At NavGurukul, we only do work that we genuinely believe to be impactful and derive a lot of personal meaning and joy from it. We are also committed to creating an environment of work that is healthy, transparent, and joyful and enables growth and change, both personally and professionally. We have an open, ongoing, non-hierarchical dialogue to ensure the same, and you will be welcome to contribute to it when you are a part of the NavGurukul team. We are an inclusive and diverse organization and encourage qualified individuals to apply, irrespective of their religion, caste, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, or any other dimension of identity.
