Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and supervise mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment (HEMM), fixed plant machinery, and utilities. Monitor the performance of equipment and lead root cause analysis for breakdowns and recurring issues. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. Coordinate with operations, stores, purchase, and other departments for timely execution of maintenance activities. Review maintenance logs, reports, and KPIs to track performance and identify improvement areas. Ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials, and tools. Support in budget planning, cost control, and vendor management for mechanical maintenance. Supervise and guide a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during all maintenance work. Assist in capital projects, plant upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment. Liaise with OEMs and external service providers for specialized repairs and technical support. Qualifications & Experience: Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent diploma with strong experience) Experience: 5–17 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in mining, cement, power, or heavy industries. Experience in handling HEMM, crushers, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics is highly desirable. Key Skills: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices. Leadership and team management. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and coordination abilities. Familiarity with maintenance software (e.g., ERP,SAP, CMMS) is an advantage.
