To lead the fundraising function at the NGO and help the Head/Board of the organization in identifying donor resources, raising funds and engaging donors for long-term organizational sustainability. To bring the sales streak and rigour into the work and expand the capacity of the organisation in handling programs and budgets. To ensure organisation’s digital media capabilities are built in by providing effective content in a timely manner. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: IDENTIFYING AND ONBOARDING NEW DONORS: · Create and implement a fundraising strategyin consultation with the leader for the organisation focusing on long term sustainability · Understand the objectives of the organisation and create fundraising budget in consultation with the leader/ board · Research and compile the list of various International and National Donor Organisations – (Corporate CSR, Funding Agencies, Government etc) and identify prospects that are aligned to the organisation’s domain area · Establish contact and build relationships with Donors/ Prospects. Regularly monitor donor websites and identify and apply for opportunities that match the work of the organisation · Organise Campaigns/Events in order to solicit and onboard new donors · Presentation of the organisation and its programs to prospective donors and diligent follow up to ensure conversion · Work with the program team and the leader to create budgets for various programs · Prepare and submit Grant Proposals to donors, ensure timely resolution of donor queries and facilitate onboarding of donorsthrough effective coordination with various teams within the organisation · Take innovative steps to get new sources of donations so as to ensure long term sustainability and take necessary steps to improve visibility and credibility of the organisation in the sector COMMUNICATION AND DONOR ENGAGEMENT: · Ensure periodic communication with existing donors/ prospects by presenting the organisation’s work via Newsletters etc · Create various donor engagement opportunities – Face to face, Virtual Meets, Beneficiary – Donor Meets etc · Conceptualise and create volunteering opportunitiesby working closely with various teams and promote the same to donors · Conduct events to bring the community of donors and other stakeholders together to provide visibility for the organisation and get more support · Develop a system to resolve donor complaints efficiently and ensure retention of existing donors · Obtain referrals from existing donors and also help them enhance their engagement COORDINATION AND REPORTING · Coordinate with various teams and provide required information for preparation of marketing collaterals by Dhwani Foundation. Equip oneself to manage the website and social media accounts of the organisation independently in future · Work with the Donor Interface team and give feedback to improve reporting · Attend the Niranthara Program and work closely with the NGO leader as well as Dhwani Foundation to achieve the organisation’s fund-raising targets · Periodic reports to the management as well as the training team at Dhwani Foundation.
