Java Intern

The ideal candidate for the Java Intern position at CAI should be a motivated individual with a strong enthusiasm for Java programming. As a Java Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers to support the design, development, and implementation of Java applications. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your responsibilities as a Java Intern will include assisting in the development and maintenance of Java-based applications, collaborating with team members on software design and architecture, participating in code reviews to enhance code quality, conducting testing and debugging to ensure software functionality, documenting software features and technical specifications, and providing support for various tasks and projects as required. To qualify for this position, you should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A basic understanding of the Java programming language and object-oriented programming concepts is essential. Additionally, familiarity with software development practices and methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required. Preferred skills for this role include experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate, knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), and an understanding of database management and SQL. The Java Intern position at CAI involves sedentary work, primarily performed at a computer workstation. This may include sitting or remaining stationary for most of the time with occasional movement around the office for meetings or other activities. You should be comfortable conducting repetitive tasks on a computer using a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
