IOT - Practice Lead

Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned and visionary IoT Practice Lead to build and lead our IoT and Industrial IoT (IIoT) practice . This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving solution engineering, product innovation , and delivery excellence for our global clients. The role will involve leading strategic IoT initiatives , architecting scalable solutions, and collaborating across geographies including Africa and the Middle East. Key Responsibilities Practice Building & Strategy Establish and scale the IoT practice at Metayb with defined offerings, reusable assets, and GTM strategy. Define roadmaps, capabilities, and partnerships for growth in Smart City, Manufacturing, and Connected Infrastructure domains. Client-Focused Solutioning Engage with global clients to understand pain points and translate business requirements into tailored IoT solutions. Lead presales, proposals, solution demos, and PoCs to support business development and customer acquisition. Product Innovation & Development Drive the design and development of IoT solutions including real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, RFID/RTLS, and digital twins. Develop product roadmaps and manage product lifecycles based on customer insights and market trends. Cross-Functional Leadership Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, analysts, sales, and project managers. Foster strong collaboration with external OEMs, suppliers, and technology partners. Desired Skills & Experience 15+ years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role within IoT/IIoT domains. Deep expertise in Smart City technologies, Industrial IoT, RFID, Wireless Communication (LoRaWAN, BLE), and Edge Computing. Strong experience in presales, solution architecture, and leading product/solution development cycles. Proven track record working with clients across Africa, the Middle East, and APAC regions. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills. Educational Qualifications Bachelor s/Master s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications in IoT, Cloud Platforms, or Architecture frameworks are an added advantage.
