As a Senior Systems Design Engineer at AMD, you will play a crucial role in driving technical innovation and improving AMD's capabilities across validation processes. Your primary responsibilities will include developing tools and scripts, enhancing technical methodologies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality technologies to the market. You will be responsible for debugging issues throughout the product development lifecycle, from process and bring-up to validation and production phases of SOC programs. Your expertise in software systems engineering will be essential in defining and resolving root causes, contributing to the overall success of AMD's products. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, track test executions, and optimize features to meet project timelines. Your ability to drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions will be key in fostering continuous technical innovation within the Systems Design Engineering team. To excel in this position, you should possess programming/scripting skills such as C/C++, Perl, Ruby, and Python. Additionally, experience with SOC level validation of RAS features, knowledge of IO protocols (PCIe, Memory, USB, Ethernet, LSIO, etc.), and familiarity with debug techniques and methodologies are highly desirable. Furthermore, proficiency in using common lab equipment like protocol/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes, as well as experience with board/platform-level debug and system architecture, will greatly contribute to your success in this role.
