The Staff Accountant will support the finance department in recording, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions in compliance with US GAAP. This role demands attention to detail, a process improvement mindset, and strong organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Review and interpret contracts, applying accounting principles to record relevant transactions. Maintain ownership of assigned general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with US GAAP. Perform variance analysis and explain financial fluctuations. Contribute to ad-hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives. Support inventory costing, routings, and change analysis. Assist in the development and maintenance of standard costing procedures. Perform inventory analysis and assess appropriate reserves. Conduct ad-hoc accounting research, recommend accounting treatments, and document findings. Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. Required Skills and Abilities Strong understanding and application of US GAAP. Process-oriented with a mindset for continuous improvement. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with financial accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
