Job Description

Design & Conceptualization Develop original, brand-aligned design concepts and mood boards. Create space planning layouts, furniture plans, and 3D visuals. Ensure concepts meet the clients' functional, aesthetic, and budgetary goals. Technical Drawings & Documentation Prepare and review detailed working drawings, elevations, sections, and joinery details. Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing teams for service integration. Issue GFC (Good for Construction) drawings and revisions promptly. Site Coordination Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation aligns with drawings. Provide real-time design clarifications or alternatives as required. Coordinate with project managers and vendors on design intent execution. Material & Vendor Liaison Finalize materials, finishes, and furnishings with client and vendor input. Raise material approvals and coordinate sample boards. Assist the procurement team with specifications and vendor selection. Client Interaction Attend client meetings and present design ideas and progress. Incorporate feedback and ensure design satisfaction. Maintain professionalism and timely communication at all times. Documentation & Handover Ensure all project-related drawings and design documents are submitted and archived. Support design documentation for portfolio and marketing needs. Qualifications & Skills Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture. 35 years of relevant experience in the commercial/retail fitout industry. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and MS Office; knowledge of Revit is a plus. Strong understanding of materials, construction techniques, and MEP coordination. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently or with teams. Preferred Experience Experience working with high-street retail brands, corporate offices, or commercial spaces. Familiarity with civil fitout execution processes and timelines.
