Insurance-Guidewire Architect-Manager

As a Manager in the Technology Consulting team at EY, you will play a crucial role in designing and creating technical solutions to business problems across various Guidewire implementation and Prototype development projects for our global customers. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and architecture of Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and Jutro Digital Platform. You will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to gather requirements and define technical solutions. Furthermore, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and deployment. Your role will also involve staying current with Guidewire product updates and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Guidewire applications. Additionally, you will participate in client meetings to present architectural designs and project updates, with a focus on ideation and asset development on the Guidewire Tech Stack. In terms of people responsibilities, you will be responsible for building a quality culture, managing the performance of direct reports, fostering teamwork, and providing training and mentoring to budding technical architects and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). You will also participate in organization-wide initiatives to drive the agenda of technical excellence. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a BE/BTech/MCA & MBA degree with a sound industry experience of 10-15 years. You should be highly experienced and hands-on in Guidewire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter/BillingCenter Configuration and/or Guidewire Integration. Additionally, you should have demonstrable knowledge and experience in either Personal Lines products or Commercial Lines products, along with expertise in Java, JEE, XML, Web Services, SQL, ANT, Pl/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, Enterprise Messaging System, Tomcat, and/or Websphere/Weblogic. Moreover, you should possess real-time knowledge and experience in enterprise system integration on Insurance applications, as well as understanding and experience of software development best practices. Experience with cloud technologies, integration with third-party systems, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and client stakeholder management skills are also essential for this role. Additional skills requirements include experience in Guidewire implementations/upgrades, experience in the Insurance domain in Property & Casualty, and prior client-facing experience.
