Roles & Responsibilities Ignition & SCADA Development Design, develop, and maintain Ignition applications, dashboards, and HMIs for industrial automation. Configure and manage Ignition Gateways, projects, and tag structures. Integrate Ignition with PLCs, Kepware/OPC servers, and other industrial devices using protocols such as OPC-UA and MQTT. Implement scripting and automation logic using Python within Ignition environments. Database & Data Integration Design and optimize SQL database schemas, tables, views, and indexes to support automation solutions. Develop, test, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers. Integrate data from Ignition and other sources with SQL databases for analytics and reporting. Implement ETL processes and data integration solutions as required. Machine Connectivity & Networking Configure and maintain machine connectivity using Kepware, OPC, and networking protocols. Analyze machine communication capabilities and connectivity constraints. Troubleshoot and optimize network and machine data flows for reliability and performance. Cloud & Advanced Technologies Integrate automation systems with AWS Cloud and other cloud storage solutions as needed. Apply knowledge of MQTT, CVML, NLP, and other advanced technologies to enhance automation capabilities. Testing & Validation Develop and execute test plans for automation solutions, including integration, load, and user acceptance testing. Validate data accuracy, system reliability, and error handling mechanisms. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, IT, and operations to deliver robust solutions. Provide training and technical support for deployed systems. Ensure thorough documentation of all development activities, configurations, and user manuals. Maintenance & Optimization Monitor system and database performance, implementing improvements as needed. Perform regular updates, ensure data security compliance, and troubleshoot issues promptly

Role & responsibilities 6 to 10 years related work experience with Rockwell or Siemens PLC programming. Good experience in working with Rockwell FTview, Ignition and Wonderware SCADA products. Knowledge and implementation experience of electrical engineering, automation SCADA design, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Experience of database and IT is preferred. Good prioritizing and planning skill. Proficient level in both written & spoken English. High awareness of Health & Safety Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry is preferred Process engineering knowledge (able to interpret P&IDs, Process documents) Participate and be responsible for automation engineering handover including system program taking in, plant automation archiving, technical files preparation. Automation in-house engineering including automation project specification, hardware configuration, function description and programming. Automation on-site job includes electrical installation guidance & test, confirmation of process with design engineer, online commissioning (mainly Rockwell, Siemens and Wonderware), verification of process upgrade with customer, project files updating. Automation emergency response includes emergency failure analysis, remote guidance or connection support, on-site troubleshooting. Plant automation performance investigation and optimization. Follow both technical (software and hardware) and architecture in Food industry area. Provide technical support and training to customer. Document service activities and update customer data, including equipment and contracts. Job Requirements Key Responsibilities Analyze, reverse-engineer, and document an internally developed Sequential Control System toolkit based on Ignition SDK and Java . Sustain, enhance, and develop the toolkit codebase with minimal documentation and limited KT support from client. Identify code architecture, functionality, and integration with database and UI components. Work closely with client engineers to validate analysis findings and propose sustainable solutions. Provide long-term development, testing, and database management support for the ARTIE toolkit. Collaborate with controls engineers and other developers supporting Honeywell SCM and other toolkits. Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills: 8+ years of Java development experience with strong understanding of OOP, threading, memory management, and exception handling. 3+ years of experience with Ignition SDK or Inductive Automations Ignition platform (Designer, Gateway, Tags, Perspective/Vision modules). Strong Python scripting experience, especially in integrating with Ignition tags, SFCs, and display elements. Experience in reverse engineering legacy applications and documenting architecture and design artifacts. Hands-on experience with SQL databases – writing queries, optimizing data access, and schema understanding. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems . Ignition Platform Specific Skills: Ignition Vision HMI development and tag structures (UDTs, SFCs). Understanding of Ignition Designer layer and interaction with UI elements.
