What you will do in this role: Act as the technical SME for SAP IBP modules , including: Demand Planning Response and Supply Inventory Planning Order-Based Planning (OBP) Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of IBP solutions to support global supply chain initiatives. Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive problem prevention for IBP systems. Drive and participate in Order-Based Planning (OBP) implementations, handling scenarios such as: Demand prioritization Pegging strategies Capable-to-Match (CTM) functionality in OBP Integration of OBP with transactional systems for real-time planning Oversee IBP integration with ECC, APO, and CPI-DS, ensuring seamless data flows. Plan and execute IBP upgrades and patching activities. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers and offshore partners. Conduct performance tuning and system optimizations for IBP applications. Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and SOPs. Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and follow IT change management practices. Stay updated on new SAP IBP features, especially innovations related to OBP and other planning areas. Recommend process improvements to enhance system performance and business value. Who You Are (Requirements) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 6–12 years of overall SAP experience, with at least 4+ years focused on SAP IBP . Hands-on expertise in: SAP IBP Demand Planning Response and Supply Order-Based Planning (OBP) functionality, including CTM, pegging, and priority rules IBP configuration and best practices Familiarity with APO planning processes and CIF. Good knowledge of integration technologies like CPI-DS , as well as ECC data structures for MM, PP. Proven experience managing complex IBP incidents and delivering solutions. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills. Experience working in a global, multicultural environment and managing remote or offshore resources. Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and ITIL processes is a plus. Your role involves deeply understanding business processes and translating them into scalable, efficient, and data-driven planning solutions using SAP IBP modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). You serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that functional requirements are accurately captured and effectively implemented. Your expertise enables organizations to enhance forecast accuracy, streamline supply chain operations, and improve responsiveness to market dynamics. In addition to solution design and configuration, you play a key role in system integration, user training, testing, and post-implementation support, driving continuous improvement and innovation in planning processes. Your Responsibilties Understand and analyze complex business requirements related to supply chain planning. Design and configure SAP IBP modules such as Demand Planning (DP), Supply Planning (Heuristics & Optimizer), Inventory Optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Develop planning views, key figures, attributes, and master data models tailored to business needs. Implementation & Integration: Lead or support full-cycle SAP IBP implementations, from blueprinting to go-live. Integrate SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and external systems using tools like CPI-DS or HCI. Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization between systems for real-time planning. Business Engagement & Process Alignment: Conduct workshops and interviews with business users to gather and validate requirements. Translate business needs into functional specifications and system configurations. Provide expert guidance on best practices in supply chain planning and IBP usage. Testing, Training & Support: Develop test plans and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Create user documentation and deliver training sessions to ensure smooth adoption. Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations. Analytics & Reporting: Design and deliver planning dashboards and reports using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other BI tools. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP IBP features and roadmap. Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in planning processes.
