Hostess

Job Summary:

We are seeking a well-groomed, poised, and customer-focused Hostess to be the welcoming face of our fine dining restaurant. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating memorable first impressions, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of guests within the dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant with a professional and friendly demeanor
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using a reservation system (e.g., OpenTable)
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth handoff to the service team
• Maintain an organized waiting list during peak times and communicate estimated wait times
• Answer guest inquiries about the restaurant, menu, or specials
• Maintain the podium/reception area in a clean, orderly, and welcoming condition
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure exceptional guest experiences
• Handle special requests, VIP guests, and guest complaints professionally

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a hostess or in a guest-facing role in a fine dining or upscale environment preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Polished, professional appearance and etiquette
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Basic computer skills and experience with reservation systems (preferred)
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
