Hostel Warden

Sri Ganga Vilas is a reputed organization successfully running for over 33 years with multiple branches and operations. We are now expanding our facilities and introducing staff accommodations. We are seeking a responsible and experienced Hostel Warden to manage our hostel premises smoothly. Job Purpose: The Hostel Warden will be responsible for the overall management of the hostel including resident welfare, safety, discipline, cleanliness, and maintenance of the hostel building. Key Responsibilities: Hostel Management Ensure smooth daily operations of the hostel. Supervise the entry, exit, and attendance of all hostel residents. Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations. Handle grievances and ensure welfare of the residents. Staff Handling Manage housekeeping staff, security, maintenance personnel, and other support staff. Assign daily duties and monitor their performance. Ensure timely cleaning of rooms, corridors, toilets, common areas, and surroundings. Building Maintenance Regular inspection of building facilities for cleanliness, repairs, and safety issues. Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upkeep. Monitor water supply, electrical systems, and sanitation facilities. Safety & Security Ensure the safety and security of all residents. Maintain visitor records and monitor entry of outsiders. Be available in emergency situations and coordinate with medical/helping authorities if needed. Administrative Work Maintain records of residents, room allocation, maintenance issues, staff attendance, etc. Submit regular reports to management regarding hostel functioning. Ensure all hostel supplies and inventory are managed properly. Communication & Coordination Act as a communication link between management and hostel residents. Arrange meetings with residents for feedback and addressing concerns. Coordinate with vendors for cleaning materials, repair works, and other hostel needs. Key Skills Required: Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and staff coordination. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
