Hiring For EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) - Outclass

Role & responsibilities

The Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Outclass will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping experiential learning programs in entrepreneurship, investment, and industry engagement. You will work closely with students, industry partners, and the Outclass leadership to deliver high-impact modules such as the Venture Initiation Program (VIP), Dropshipping Challenge, Creator Challenge, and other real-world simulations.

This is a unique opportunity for a former founder, operator, or fund professional to drive innovation in business education while mentoring Indias next generation of founders and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Strategy & Execution

• Lead and execute business-facing modules like Dropshipping Challenge, Creator Challenge, and VIP.
• Support students in setting up and scaling their entrepreneurial ideas with a focus on compliance, operations, and GTM strategies.
• Develop real-world business playbooks and frameworks for experiential modules.

2. Investment Management Education

• Supervise and mentor students, ensuring investment recommendations align with real-world fund management practices.
• Establish and refine investment frameworks based on macroeconomic insights, sectoral trends, and quantitative strategies.
• Guide students in conducting equity research, valuation modeling, and portfolio risk analysis.

3. Training & Mentorship

• Conduct interactive sessions and masterclasses on topics such as portfolio management, financial markets, and valuation techniques.
• Design and lead simulations, case studies, stock pitch competitions, and trade-a-thons.
• Mentor students interested in careers in the buy-side/sell-side investment space.

4. Industry Engagement & Partnerships

• Leverage your professional network to bring in top investors, fund managers, and founders for speaker sessions and panels.
• Facilitate internship and placement opportunities with VC/PE firms, investment banks, mutual funds, and startup accelerators.
• Build strategic partnerships to enhance Outclasss exposure to the investment ecosystem.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Former founder/operator or experience in a Founders Office, VC/PE, Investment Banking, or Fund Management role.
• Strong understanding of startup ecosystems, compliance, and early-stage venture building.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, public markets, and investment strategy. Excellent communication skills with a flair for mentoring young professionals.
• Passionate about bridging the gap between academia and the real world through immersive education.

Preferred (Good to have but not compulsory):

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Ranker
• CFA(Level 3 cleared)/FRM certification will be an added advantage.
