Development of real-time embedded software that implements control, safety and communication layers of the drive inverter and motor. Develop and automate firmware infrastructure using Python (or equivalent language) for efficient testing and maintaining reliability. Contribute to technical requirements, safety analyses, interface design, hardware bring-up and system validation and integration. Manage firmware releases across firmware lifecycle stages. Involved in the full life-cycle of firmware development from concept through development, integration, test and high volume manufacturing. Requirements 5+ year of relevant experience in real-time embedded software development, although all levels of experience are needed. Proficiency in C and proven record of delivering high quality code. Experience with MISRA C, unit testing, static analysis tools is a plus. Scripting experience with Python is a plus.
