Role & responsibilities Procurement Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Plan and forecast material requirements based on production cycles and seasonality in shrimp farming. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for shrimp feed, hatchery equipment, chemicals, PPE, and farm supplies. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors. Maintain strong relationships to ensure supply stability and quality. Cost Control & Budgeting: Optimize procurement costs without compromising quality. Monitor and manage procurement budget and reduce waste or excess stock. Inventory Coordination: Work closely with the farm operations and warehouse teams to manage inventory levels. Ensure just-in-time delivery to avoid stockouts or overstocking. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and aquaculture regulations. Maintain accurate records for audits, traceability, and procurement reporting. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that procured items meet company and regulatory standards. Handle non-conformance issues with vendors promptly. Market & Risk Analysis: Monitor market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and risk factors affecting the shrimp industry. Develop mitigation plans for procurement-related risks. Team Coordination: Supervise and mentor the procurement team. Coordinate with logistics, farm, and processing units for seamless supply chain integration. Work closely with departments to forecast purchasing needs and avoid shortages. Preferred candidate profile Minimum 10-12 years of experience in procurement, with at least 810 years in the aquaculture/shrimp industry or seafood processing sector. Knowledge of shrimp hatchery/farming inputs, farm equipment, and processing supplies is essential. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Knowledge of aquaculture regulations and quality standards. Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems. Analytical thinking and strong decision-making ability.

Job Summary: As the Poultry Breeder Operations Head , he/she will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of both Layer and Broiler Breeding operations of Srinivasa Farms. Reporting directly to the Business Operations Head, your role encompasses the following key areas: Key Accountabilities: Parents Placement Plans : Develop and execute strategic plans for the placement of parent stock (both layers and broilers). Optimize the distribution of breeding birds across farms to ensure efficient production. Breeding Farms Management : Oversee the management of breeding farms where parent stock is raised. Implement best practices for bird health, nutrition, and biosecurity. Collaborate with farm managers to achieve production targets. Hatcheries Operations : Coordinate hatchery activities, including egg collection, incubation, and chick hatching. Ensure proper handling of hatching eggs and adherence to quality standards. Monitor hatch rates and troubleshoot any issues. Broiler Integration : Develop and execute strategic plans for the development of Broiler Integration business. Identify and partner with experienced farmers for placement of commercial Broiler chicks. Establish productivity norms and farm management procedures to be followed by the farmers. Optimize the distribution of commercial broiler chicks across farms to ensure efficient production. Align broiler integration schedules with market demand patterns. Collaborate with broiler farm managers for successful integration. Egg & Chicks Delivery: Coordinate the logistics of delivering hatching eggs to hatcheries and end customer and delivery of day-old chicks to broiler and layer farms. Ensure timely and safe transportation to maintain hatchery-to-farm continuity. Monitor delivery schedules and address any deviations promptly. Quality Control : Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the breeding process. Regularly inspect breeding farms, hatcheries, and transportation facilities. Address any deviations related to bird health, egg quality, or chick viability. Cost of Production Optimization : Monitor production costs, including feed, labour, and utilities. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimize cost structures. Requirements: Education : Bachelors or masters degree in Poultry Science, Animal Husbandry, or related fields. Experience : Minimum of 10 to 15 years in poultry breeding operations, including both layers and broilers. Familiarity with breeding farm management, hatchery operations, and logistics. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
