Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup & Operation : Set up and operate VMC machines for precision machining tasks. Programming : Develop CNC programs using CAM software to meet design and production requirements. Process Optimization : Optimize machining parameters for improved cycle time, tool life, and material utilization. Quality Assurance : Conduct regular quality checks to ensure components meet dimensional and technical specifications. Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve issues during machining processes to prevent production delays. Routine Maintenance : Perform daily and scheduled maintenance on VMC machines to ensure reliable operation. Material Monitoring : Monitor material usage and check for wear or defects to prevent quality issues. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with engineering and production teams to streamline processes and meet production goals. Equipment Care : Supervise repair needs and ensure timely servicing of machinery and tools. Preferred candidate profile - The VMC Programmer is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to produce precision components as per engineering specifications. Role & responsibilities Tool & Fixture Management : Maintain, issue, and track tools, jigs, and fixtures required for CNC machine operations. Prototype Support : Assist in the preparation and setup of tools and fixtures for new part trials and prototype development. Drawing Interpretation : Read and understand engineering and part drawings to support fixture planning and tool readiness. Tool Room Operations : Perform basic tool rework, minor fixture fabrication, and manage the tool room layout for easy access and organization. CNC Team Support : Coordinate with CNC programmers and operators to ensure the correct tools are available for new and existing jobs. Preventive Care : Carry out routine checks and minor maintenance of frequently used tools and fixtures. Material & Tool Inventory : Monitor tool and raw material availability for tool room use and raise timely requisitions. Vendor Coordination : Liaise with local vendors for tool sharpening, fabrication, or urgent tooling needs. Documentation : Maintain logs for prototype jobs, tool issue records, and fixture usage history. Housekeeping & Safety : Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized tool room environment. Preferred candidate profile The Tool Room Incharge is responsible for managing tool room operations, supporting CNC production, and assisting in prototype development. The role demands hands-on skills in tool management, fixture preparation, basic machining support, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Salary - As per Industry Standards
