Front Office Associate

Department: Front Office / Guest Services
Industry: Hospitality (Hotels & Resorts)
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Duty Manager

Job Summary

The Front Office Associate is responsible for providing excellent guest service and ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out experience. This role acts as the first point of contact for guests, delivering warm hospitality, managing reservations, and handling guest requests efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently using the hotel’s PMS (Property Management System).
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel policies, room rates, packages, promotions, and local attractions.
  • Ensure accurate guest billing and payment transactions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely room readiness.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the system.
  • Answer phone calls and handle email communications related to guest services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Prepare daily reports and handovers for upcoming shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
  • Pleasant personality with a guest-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,094.22 per month
