A Freight Forwarding Sales Executive plays a crucial role in the logistics and shipping industry. You will be responsible for driving sales and generating new business opportunities for freight forwarding services. As the primary point of contact for clients, you will manage relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. To excel in this position, you must be proactive in building relationships with potential clients while understanding their logistics needs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, be results-oriented, and have a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the growth and success of logistics operations by providing exceptional service and convincing potential clients of the value the company offers. Your responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the freight forwarding market, developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, analyzing and understanding the logistics requirements of various clients, presenting and selling freight forwarding services effectively, developing marketing strategies, collaborating with the operations team for smooth service delivery, preparing tailored presentations and proposals, generating sales reports and forecasts, negotiating terms and pricing agreements with clients, staying updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions, ensuring fulfillment of client needs, handling service-related inquiries efficiently, and participating in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote services. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred, a proven track record in sales (preferably in the logistics industry), strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes and terminology, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently while managing multiple sales projects concurrently, proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
