Toast is looking for a Data Analyst for our Fraud and Merchant risk Data Team. This role will be responsible for owning our team's data strategy, providing data visualizations, and working closely with operational teams to understand monitoring needs. Collaboration with different stakeholders and providing solutions is key to this role in driving the process and company's growth. Coordinate with the Fraud and Merchant Risk Teams to understand their reporting needs, and iterate on dashboards and visualizations to allow them to track metrics to achieve their business goals. Work closely with operational teams to build monitoring and alerting to minimize gaps in our fraud and risk program. Ingest data from external vendors and coalesce with Toast data to analyze the efficacy of vendors. Work cross-functionally with other data teams at Toast to ensure data availability and accuracy. Analyze large sets of transaction data to develop a fraud mitigation strategy. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, with experience in fraud and/or risk being a plus. Very strong SQL skills, R and Python skills, and experience with Hex, Snowflake, and Splunk are advantageous. A data-driven individual with a passion for efficiency, an inquisitive nature, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment with minimal oversight.
