Finishing Manager

Role & responsibilities

overseeing the final stages of garment production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely delivery

1. Production Management:

• Supervising Finishing Processes:

  Overseeing all activities within the finishing department, such as washing, ironing, folding, and packing.

• Ensuring Quality Standards:

  Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure garments meet the required standards before dispatch.

• Meeting Production Targets:

  Ensuring daily and weekly production targets are met, coordinating with other departments to optimize workflow.

• Managing Resources:

  Ensuring the availability of manpower, machinery, and materials for smooth operations.

2. Coordination and Communication:

• Interdepartmental Coordination:

  Collaborating with other departments like knitting, dyeing, cutting, and sewing to ensure seamless production flow.

• Communication with Buyers:

  Following up on shipment dates and ensuring timely dispatch of orders as per buyer requirements.

• Team Leadership:

  Training and supervising the finishing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

3. Quality Control and Improvement:

• Monitoring and Analysis:

  Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DHU levels and identifying areas for improvement.

• Implementing Corrective Actions:

  Implementing necessary corrective actions and preventative measures to address quality issues and improve overall efficiency.

• Ensuring Compliance:

  Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, including technical and social compliance.

4. Safety and Efficiency:

• Maintaining Safety Standards:

  Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees in the finishing department.

• Optimizing Processes:

  Identifying and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

• Cost Management:

  Monitoring and controlling costs related to finishing processes.

Candidate should have denim bottom manufacturing experience
