Description
As the Finance Controller at a solar EPC company, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finance and accounts team. Your role will involve managing the company's financial cash flow, maintaining banking relationships, overseeing budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your contributions will be crucial in strategic financial planning, analysis, and ensuring the overall financial health and sustainability of the company. You will be expected to oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analyses. Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes will be essential. Developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures to facilitate effective financial management will also fall under your purview. Managing the company's cash flow to ensure operational liquidity, monitoring cash balances, and strategizing to optimize cash flow will be key responsibilities. You will lead the annual budgeting process, review budget proposals, monitor and analyze budget variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, negotiating terms for banking services, loans, and financial products, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies will be critical. Additionally, you will oversee internal and external audits, implement recommendations for improvements, and identify and mitigate financial risks. Participating in strategic planning processes, providing financial insights to support decision-making, and developing financial strategies for growth and profitability will be part of your role. Implementing and maintaining financial systems and software to improve operational efficiency, as well as driving process improvements for streamlined financial operations and reporting, will also be expected. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with experience in the renewable energy or EPC industry being highly desirable. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in financial software, and strong leadership abilities are essential. Effective communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and strategic thinking are also important competencies. Your performance will be measured based on key performance indicators (KPIs) including maintaining a minimum cash reserve ratio, achieving budget accuracy, ensuring timely financial reporting, and maintaining high standards of financial compliance and risk management.
