Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Training: Directs and trains fettling staff, ensuring they follow proper techniques and safety protocols. Quality Control: Enforces quality standards by inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring they meet specifications. Production Management: Oversees the daily fettling activities, allocating work based on production schedules, and tracking output. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Monitors the condition of tools and machinery, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Safety Compliance: Enforces health and safety regulations within the fettling area, ensuring a safe working environment. Continuous Improvement: Identifies and implements initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce defects, and improve overall efficiency. Record Keeping: Maintains accurate records of production output, downtime, and manpower utilization. Communication and Reporting: Regularly communicates with management, quality assurance, and other departments regarding performance metrics and issues. Problem Solving: Addresses and resolves issues related to production, quality, or safety within the fettling area. Coordination: Collaborates with other departments, such as quality assurance, to ensure the smooth flow of work and address any issues that may arise.
