English Teacher

We are looking for a person who is energetic and dynamic to join our team and to support the delivery of subject knowledge with our curriculum.

Job Summary:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment while imparting essential language and literature skills to students. You will design and deliver curriculum content, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development: Design and develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines and educational standards. Incorporate diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.

2. Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

3. Assessment and Evaluation: Administer and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments to evaluate student progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

4. Individualized Support: Identify and address the unique learning needs of students through differentiated instruction. Provide extra help and support to students who may require additional assistance.

5. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive and respectful atmosphere.

6. Professional Development: Stay current with developments in English education, pedagogy, and technology. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.

7. Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.

8. Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in school events, clubs, and activities that contribute to the overall development of students.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in English, B.Ed. or M.Ed.

1 to 5 years experience

Strong knowledge of English language and literature.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

Experience with educational technology and a willingness to integrate it into teaching practices.
