Engineering Manager

As the leader of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily tasks, prioritizing them, and making decisions based on changing business priorities. You will play a key role in structuring and facilitating the team's workflow and QA process. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders across the company to understand their requirements and translate them into the team's technical requirements. Your role will also involve fostering the team's evolution and the growth of its members through activities such as 1:1s and performance evaluations. Furthermore, you will be expected to plan for future resource requirements and collaborate with hiring efforts to ensure the team remains well-equipped. To be successful in this position, you should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in automation. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in team and people management. A track record of designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable automation solutions is essential, as is professional experience in a technical management or leadership role. Having a technical mindset and understanding complex systems design will be advantageous in this role. You should also possess the ability to understand and analyze technical specifications, as well as experience in designing test cases. An action-oriented attitude, a solutions-oriented approach, and the ability to maintain high performance in a fast-paced work environment are key attributes for this role. Excellent oral, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. While bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is nice to have, it is not required.
