Job Title: Engineering Manager

Reports To: CEO

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Engineering Manager to lead and manage our engineering team, reporting directly to the CEO. As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee the development of innovative solutions and guide the team in building scalable, high-performance systems. You will be responsible for technical leadership, strategic planning, project delivery, and mentoring team members to ensure that the company's engineering goals are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic vision.

Collaborate with the CEO and cross-functional teams to define technical direction and project requirements.

Develop, implement, and monitor technical strategies and processes for the engineering team.

Oversee the full development lifecycle, including design, architecture, development, and deployment of technical solutions.

Drive hands-on development efforts, including coding, reviewing, and optimizing software in key technologies such as Node.js, Next.js, React.js, and Python.

Mentor and guide team members to grow their technical and leadership skills.

Ensure the engineering team follows best practices in software development, testing, and version control.

Manage engineering resources, timelines, and delivery of high-quality solutions.

Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and performance issues in the development process.

Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve team efficiency and product quality.

Act as a liaison between engineering, product management, and leadership teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in engineering and 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.

Expertise in Node.js, Next.js, React.js, and Python.

Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Proven experience in building scalable, high-performance systems.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor junior developers.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Hands-on experience with code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Ability to balance long-term strategic goals with day-to-day execution.
