The Storage Engineer role based in Pune, India is crucial for ensuring the availability and performance of all disk storage and SAN switches in both production and non-production environments. As a part of a service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing L1 support for disk storage related issues, responding to and assisting in production operations round the clock, and collaborating with internal users and vendor resources for root cause analysis. Additionally, you will participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and contribute to project-based initiatives by identifying process improvements, remediating issues, and executing tasks effectively. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing L1 support for disk storage-related issues enterprise-wide - Responding to and assisting in production operations in a 24/7 environment - Collaborating with internal users, operations staff, and vendor resources for root cause analysis - Participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours support - Offering technical analysis, problem resolution, and proposing solutions - Serving as a resource for project-driven initiatives - Identifying and automating manual tasks using scripting and application development To excel in this role, you should possess: - Mid-level experience with various disk storage subsystems and SAN switches such as Hitachi, Nimble, NetApp, Qumulo, and Brocade - Profound understanding of SCSI, NFS, and CIFS protocols - Experience in disk storage configuration management and hands-on experience with storage-based replication technologies - Skills in automation tools and scripting for task automation - Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written - Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented team environment - Proficiency in project management, organization, and time management - Dedication to providing the best possible user experience - Effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders,
