Electrical Maintenance Engineer duties include performing routine inspections, diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks. Perform other duties as required to meet business goals. Electrical System Troubleshooting: Analyzes an electrical control system to resolve and repair electrical issues to return the system to proper operating conditions. Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position Skills and Experience: Knowledge/Skills: Diploma (Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics) with 4-8 years of experience in Maintenance. Troubleshooting knowledge with industrial automation systems consisting of nut-runners, ATEQ leak testing systems, servo systems, conveyor systems, robots, and cobots. Hands-on experience in PLC & HMI programming - TIA Portal/Simatic Manager is a must. Exposure to SCADA and industrial network communication protocols. Basic knowledge about data traceability systems with RFID and CMES. Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies. Experience with machine retrofits, commissioning, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and ladder logic diagrams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team. Core Responsibilities: Upkeep of Maintenance KPIs - Uptime, MTBF, and MTTR. Permanent solution to resolve repetitive issues. Nice to Have: Familiarity with assembly lines with precision manufacturing consisting of laser welding stations, functional testing stations, robots, and cobots.

Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes. Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation. Project Management: Manage electrical projects from conception to completion. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resources allocation plans. Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and system malfunctions. Perform root-cause analysis for electrical system failures and implement corrective actions. Provide expert guidance to junior engineers and technicians during troubleshooting. Testing and Validation: Conduct performance testing,validation, and optimization of electrical systems. Ensure all electrical equipment is tested according to operational requirements. Implement testing protocols for quality assurance. Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met. Monitor team performance, provide technical guidance, and ensure high standards of work. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols for electrical worksites. Conduct regular audits to ensure safety compliance. Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to understand requirements and provide technical solutions. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and progress updates to clients. Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and industry best practices. Recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Estimate costs for electrical systems and components. Hands on experience in handling electrical hardware i.e connectors/contactors/ terminal tracking/identification for fault finding/SMPS/SSR/Relays/VFD/PLCs/ Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory compliance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Diploma, Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field. Extensive experience in electrical design, installation, and maintenance. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations Proven leadership and project management experience. Problem-solving skills.
