Job Description

Elastic Path Developer

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and integrate features and functionalities within the
Elastic Path Commerce platform
.
Implement complex commerce business logic, product catalog management, pricing rules, and order fulfillment processes.
Design and build robust integrations between Elastic Path and other systems, including ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and content management systems.
Work with
Elastic Path Composable Commerce
components, APIs, and microservices to deliver flexible and scalable solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards for Elastic Path development.
Collaborate with architects, front-end developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and debug issues within the Elastic Path environment, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an
Elastic Path Developer
or in a similar e-commerce platform development role.

Skills Required:

Strong hands-on experience with the Elastic Path Commerce platform
, including its core architecture, APIs, and customization capabilities.
Proficiency in
Java
and
Spring Framework
(Spring Boot, Spring Data) as Elastic Path is built on these technologies.
Experience with
RESTful API development and consumption
.
Solid understanding of
e-commerce concepts
, including product catalogs, pricing, promotions, order management, and customer accounts.
Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
Experience with
version control systems (e.g., Git)
.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with
Elastic Path Composable Commerce
and its newer services.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) for headless commerce implementations.
Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Adobe Commerce/Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) is a plus.
