Draftsman - Millworks

About the Role: We are seeking a creative professional who is well-versed in current trends while drawing inspiration from historical design sensibilities. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and inquisitive design enthusiast who strives to break boundaries in order to craft extraordinary spaces. What You Will Be Doing: As part of this role, you will be responsible for generating sample drawings utilizing computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches, or hard prototypes using software applications like AutoCAD, Illustrator, Sketchup, and Photoshop. You will create 3D models based on the provided brief and select appropriate materials ranging from wood to metal, plastic, and textiles. Collaborating with interior designers and the production team, you will oversee the construction process, incorporating changes based on stakeholder feedback. Your tasks will also involve preparing detailed final drawings, studying various furniture design styles, and ensuring project completion from raw materials to the finished furniture pieces. What You Bring To The Table: The ideal candidate should possess 5-6 years of experience in furniture drafting along with expertise in furniture and millwork shop drawings and BOM. Prior experience in furniture drafter projects is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MS Office is highly desired, coupled with exceptional multitasking and organizational skills. Manual dexterity, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the production process from inception to delivery, are crucial for success in this role.
