Role & responsibilities: Quality check of delivered equipment, spares, installation, repair and maintenance at site & store. Conduct inspection against QA checklist, PO or Quality plan. Devise quality testing methods (MQP/QP) and carry out acceptability tests based on indents. Conduct prioritized check point surveillance of project through contractual quality plan. Manage post repair quality checks. Monitoring of Thickness survey, Fit-up, Welding, RT, UT & DPT Process, oxide scale measurement, application of protection shield in boiler, Heat treatment of weld joints etc. Conduct welder test, control over low hydrogen electrodes, PMI, Hardness test in boiler during Shutdown & Annual Overhauling. Inspection of valves though blue matching for boiler & turbine areas. Functional Competence Requirement: Knowledge of welding technology. Knowledge of destructive and non-destructive testing methods and having qualified NDT Level-2 in RT, UT, DPT, MPI. Know-how of metallurgy and material testing (PMI). Knowledge of national and international quality and testing standards (Like ASME Section IX, B31.1 Power piping, ASME Section VIII). Basic awareness of Testing Procedures in different engineering disciplines. Knowledge of Welder test for boiler & Radiography film interpretation. Knowledge of power plant equipment, spares & engineering drawings, turbine and its major equipment. Knowledge of Computer with MS office (Word, Excel, Power point), Google sheets & Report preparation etc.

Handling Third Party Customer Inspections Experience:- experience in QA/QC with promising experience in spearheading Supplier & Product Quality as well as handling ISO 9001:2008/2015 QMS Audits and other audits certifications for OEM environment with in-depth exposure of EPDM/Rubber components, welding, die-casting, fabrication, tooling, injection molding, various surface treatment process viz. galvanisation, powder coating, nickel plating, etc. Responsibilities (A) Supplier Product Quality :- 1. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes. Develop QAP / ITP with required procedures and get customer approvals for projects Conduct inspections and tests throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities and audits like WPS PQR, calibration, etc. Managing audits by customers and various TPI agencies. Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC within a manufacturing environment for pressure vessels or filters and strainers Experience in managing teams to ensure smooth work of the Quality department Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools. Experience in working with customers such as IOCL, EIL, NTPC, NPCIL, BHEL, etc Proficient in using measuring and testing equipment. Familiarity with ISO standards and other relevant quality frameworks. Knowledge of ASME codes, material grades, welding process, painting & its testing requirement. NDT Level II in RT, DPT, MPT & UT. Able to review MTC with respective standard & specification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
