Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize our AWS-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining Jenkins pipelines, EC2 instances running Docker containers, and managing AWS resources including load balancers. The engineer should be proactive in monitoring systems using Prometheus and Grafana, handling alerts, and driving cost optimization initiatives. Basic scripting knowledge in Bash and Python is essential for automation and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage and maintain Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD. Administer and optimize AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, load balancers, IAM, and networking. Manage Docker containers deployed on EC2 instances. Monitor system health and metrics using Prometheus and Grafana, and act on alerts. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues promptly. Analyze infrastructure usage and recommend cost optimization strategies. Develop automation scripts in Bash and Python for recurring operational tasks. Maintain and improve system security, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes and environment stability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and AWS ecosystem. Strong expertise in Jenkins, including pipeline scripting (Declarative or Groovy). Good experience with EC2, Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), IAM, VPC, and other AWS services.

Proficiency with Docker: building, running, and managing containers on EC2. Experience in monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana. Solid scripting skills in Bash and Python. Ability to work independently and own the full stack from build to deploy to monitor. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / SysOps / DevOps Engineer) is a plus. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus. Familiarity with Git workflows and source control best practices.
