Your Impact As aData & System Architect, you will play a pivotal role indesigning robust and scalable architecture solutionsthat power Cisco's business initiatives. In this role, you will: Design and Develop Architecture:Create comprehensivedata models,database designs, andETL processesto meet evolving business requirements. Technical Leadership:Providetechnical guidanceto the data and analytics team, ensuring alignment with best practices and business goals. Collaborate Cross-Functionally:Work withbusiness analysts,data scientists, anddata analyststo understand data needs and deliver systemic solutions. Evaluate New Technologies:Research and recommendnew tools, frameworks, and technologiesto enhance system performance and security. Security Compliance:Ensure compliance withsecurity standards, regulations, and best practices to safeguard sensitive data. Mentorship:Mentor junior architects and team members, fostering a culture ofinnovationandcontinuous learning. Minimum Qualifications You bring a strong foundation indata and system architecturewith proven experience in managing complex projects. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 7+ yearsof experience in system architecture, design, and development, with expertise in thesupply chain domain. Technical Skills: Proficiency inSQL,database management systems(e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL),data warehousing,ETL tools, anddata modeling tools. Programming expertise inPythonandR Shiny. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects. Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Your additional skills and certifications make you a standout candidate. Big Data Expertise:Experience withbig data technologies. Cloud Platforms:Familiarity withAWS,Azure, or other cloud platforms. Modern Architectures:Experience withmicroservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools. Enterprise Frameworks:Knowledge ofenterprise architecture frameworksand methodologies. Certifications:Relevant certifications such asTOGAF,AWS Certified Solutions Architect, orMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Cross-Team Collaboration:Work closely with stakeholders to align data architecture with business needs and deliver systemic solutions. Performance Optimization:Enhance system performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable solutions.
