Purpose & Scope of Position To ensure strict implementation of safety practices and statutory compliance on the civil construction site, aiming to prevent accidents, ensure health and safety of all workers, and promote a strong safety culture across the project. Experience • Minimum 5 – 10 years of onsite experience on major projects under any sector – Infrastructure, Real Estate, Power, Steel or Chemical • Involvement in at least 2 significant major project similar in size and scope as delivered by TCE Qualification Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) with a Diploma in Industrial Safety (recognized by a State Government or AICTE). Minimum 5 –10 years of experience in EHS/Safety roles in civil infrastructure or industrial construction projects. Knowledge of relevant safety laws, IS codes, OSHA / ISO 45001 standards. Certification in First Aid / Fire Fighting is preferred. Key Responsibilities 1. Monitors overall job site health, safety and environment performance and verifies that contractors are protecting their workers at the job site. 2. Responsible for construction supervision and contract administration including supervision of contractors and their subcontractors for assigned portions of the project. 3. Implement and enforce safety procedures, policies, and guidelines in alignment with company standards and legal requirements. 4. Conduct daily toolbox talks, site safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices. 5. Monitor high-risk activities like excavation, scaffolding, concreting, formwork, working at heights, and ensure proper control measures. 6. Prepare and maintain safety documentation including incident reports, near-miss reports, safety observation reports, and risk assessments (JSA / HIRA). 7. Ensure that all personnel on site use proper PPE and follow safe work procedures. 8. Coordinate and conduct EHS training and awareness programs for site workers and staff. 9. Liaise with contractors, vendors, and project teams to enforce safety protocols and compliance. 10. Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions. 11. Ensure emergency preparedness including mock drills, first-aid readiness, and fire safety. 12. Ensure compliance with local labour safety regulations, IS codes, and TCE's EHS Management System. 13.
