Job Description

Job Description: Winarc Cutting System is looking for a highly proficient SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing sheet metal and mechanical components for CNC laser and plasma cutting machines. This role is critical to ensuring product performance, ease of manufacturing, and design accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks . Design mechanical assemblies, sheet metal components, and support structures. Optimize existing designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance. Coordinate with production and service teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy. Perform tolerance analysis and prepare detailed technical documentation. Support in prototype development, testing, and continuous improvements. Key Skills Required: High proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling, sheet metal, assembly, and drafting). Strong knowledge of mechanical design , fabrication , and assembly processes . Understanding of GD&T , material selection, and BOM creation. Ability to work independently on design projects from concept to release. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and team collaboration. Preferred Skills (Bonus): Experience in designing CNC machinery or automation systems . Familiarity with mechanical standards and manufacturing tolerances .
