collaborateDesignation - Asssociate/Senior Associate/Manager _ESG/Sustanbility. Employment Type: Full-Time Location - Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/ Pune/Bangalore/ Hyderabad/Kolkata. Senior Associate in the ESG team will be responsible for data research, analysis and reporting. They will be required to utilize Apex ESGs proprietary tools to evaluate the ESG performance of assets as well as conduct independent research and development to improve Apex ESGs products and services and assist in significant market engagement, through demonstrations to clients and prospects. This role demands a multifaceted skillset that encompasses rigorous numerical analysis, high-quality communication (verbal and written), and the ability to work effectively independently to contribute to the team objectives. Key Roles and Responsibilities Conduct sophisticated research and analysis on ESG standards, data, and trends with specific focus on climate change and accounting of greenhouse gas emissions. Developing and implementing data-driven solutions for investment managers and their portfolio companies on carbon footprints, emission reductions, and target-setting. Guiding companies, investors and Apex analysts on how to calculate, understand and act on carbon footprint analysis to drive meaningful, measurable change. Help to define the direction and strategy of climate related ESG insights for private companies, their investors, and the market as a whole. Contribute to the improvement of existing, and creation of new, ESG Carbon related products to help stakeholders across the private markets. Be creative in generating ideas and recommendations in the pursuit of new and improved products and services. Create thought leadership and engagement tools, presentations and documents for private market investors and other stakeholders. Manage members of the climate and carbon teams within Apex, as well as collaborating with other arms of the ESG department to ensure climate and carbon products are aligned and positively influence other aspects of product development and delivery. Be proactive and independent in task management and contributing to the objectives of the team. Support the delivery of the worlds first ESG rating and reporting tool focused on the private markets. Drive initiatives to improve the sustainability performance of the Apex Group itself. Key Skills Required - Masters degree in a relevant field. Preference for candidates with at least 12 months of relevant experience in ESG advisory and/or consultancy. Significant experience in undertaking data analysis and research projects at a consultancy, financial institution, and/or similar organization. The ability to engage, build rapport, and influence a wide range of stakeholders, internal and external, for the good of our philosophy to drive positive change for people and the planet. Personal qualities of integrity, good communication, and a passion for sustainability. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and task prioritization. Personal skills: self-motivated to work independently and contribute to the team objectives. Passion: interest and a hunger to address sustainability challenges and drive positive societal change. IT skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to a high level is essential; knowledge of more advanced applications and programming languages is beneficial. Professional skills: the ability to effectively research and report on technical ESG topics; quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting; knowledge of sustainability issues and challenges within the financial sector.
