As a Design Engineer specializing in instrumentation and control systems in the Oil & Gas industry, your responsibilities will include developing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. You will be expected to conduct detailed engineering calculations and analyses for instrument sizing, signal and control cable sizing, control valve selection, DCS specification, and safety instrumented systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, will be essential to ensure the seamless integration of instrumentation systems with overall project objectives. Additionally, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, particularly in Hookup & BOQ preparation, will be a key aspect of your role. Participating in vendor evaluations, selection, and coordination for instrumentation components and systems will also be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements in all instrumentation and control engineering activities is crucial. You will also be required to calculate man-hours and evaluate bids in compliance with RFQs, following the Master Deliverable list while generating and completing discharge deliverable targets. In addition to your core responsibilities, you should have extensive knowledge and experience in instrumentation engineering, including instrumentation design and control systems. Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, SPI-INTOOLS, and AVEVA Inst.Module is necessary. Familiarity with DCS systems (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson) and SCADA systems, as well as experience in conducting FAT & SAT individually with vendors at client locations, is expected. Depending on job requirements, you may be required to be deputed at the site to assist in commissioning and pre-commissioning activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential for analyzing complex technical issues and proposing effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors. Leadership and project management skills are valuable, enabling you to lead projects, manage resources, and deliver results within project timelines and budgets. Additionally, familiarity with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) standards and regulations is considered a plus.,
