The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL database handling, a good understanding of quality testing, and proficiency in MS Office for creating documentation and presentations. Role Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Sybase ASE Database Administrator with a minimum of 7+ years of progressive working knowledge in database technologies. The selected candidate will ensure reliability, performance, and availability across Production, Disaster Recovery (DR), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Development environments , supporting these systems on a 24x7 basis . Key Responsibilities: Database Administration & Maintenance: Sybase ASE 16.0 database administration. Database backup/dump, restore/load operations. Database migration, version upgrades, and patch management. Database and server recovery during outages or failures. User/Login management: creation, password resets, configuration. Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, and other performance bottlenecks. Query optimization and index management. Regular database health monitoring and performance tuning. Incident & Problem Management: Manage Severity 1/2/3H incidents with detailed root cause analysis (RCA). Restore services after unexpected outages or disruptions. Scripting & Automation: Develop Shell and SQL scripts to automate monitoring and administrative tasks. Sybase Replication Server Support: Configure and troubleshoot Sybase Replication Server for data consistency and reliability. General Troubleshooting: ASE-specific troubleshooting (connectivity, configuration, operational anomalies). Proactive detection and resolution of potential production issues.

Strong experience min 8 years in Oracle, Maria DB, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL and any other additional Database. Manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases (including versions 11g onwards up to 19c). Migrating data to SQL AND NOSQL DATABASES. Good to have knowledge in Administration, configuration, deployment, management, architecture, security of NOSQL Databases like REDIS, KEYDB, COUCH DATABASE. Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software, patches, and tools. Knowledge of regular database backups and implement robust disaster recovery solutions. Monitor database performance and take necessary actions to improve performance and scalability. Provide expert support in database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and query optimization. Implement and maintain database security policies, user access management, and auditing. Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations. Tune database queries, optimize SQL performance, and improve indexing strategies. Monitor database resource usage and implement measures for optimal performance. Implement, Manage, maintain, and ensure high availability and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). Provide regular reports on database performance, health, and capacity. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an DBA. Understanding of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud, etc.) is a plus. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification. Mandatory Certified (Any one) 1) MONGODB/ REDIS/ CouchDB Certification from MONGODB University/REDIS University/ CouchBase 2) MARIADB or MYSQL Certification from OEM Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills to interact with various teams and stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
