Database Programmer

We are seeking an experienced Database Programmer with 5 to 8 years of expertise to join our team in Thane. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in database development and proficiency in various technologies. Your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions to ensure high performance and scalability. As a Database Programmer, your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions using MS SQL and PostgreSQL. You will be tasked with writing and optimizing Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Functions, as well as performing Performance Tuning to enhance database efficiency. Implementing and maintaining data integrity and security measures, utilizing Git for version control, and collaborating effectively using JIRA are essential aspects of the role. You will also work closely with application developers to design efficient database structures and troubleshoot database-related issues while providing optimal solutions. Additionally, optimizing queries and indexing strategies for performance enhancement and ensuring database scalability and maintainability will be crucial to support business growth. The required skills and qualifications for this position include 5 to 8 years of experience in MS SQL and PostgreSQL development, proficiency in writing Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Functions, expertise in Performance Tuning and query optimization, and experience with Git for version control and collaborative development. Strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with JIRA in an Agile environment, and a deep understanding of database normalization and indexing techniques are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with database replication and clustering techniques, familiarity with cloud-based database solutions, knowledge of ETL processes and data migration strategies, and an understanding of NoSQL databases and their appropriate usage.
