Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects across Hive, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.

Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to support ingestion, transformation, and data delivery to analytics and reporting layers.

Optimize query performance and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across platforms.

Migrate metadata and data models from on-premise (e.g., Hive/PostgreSQL) to cloud data warehouse platforms like Snowflake.

Collaborate with data architects, BI developers, data scientists, and business analysts to support enterprise data needs.

Implement and maintain data governance standards, including access controls and auditing.

Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment processes.

Troubleshoot database issues and provide operational support for production workloads.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

5+ years of professional experience as a Database Developer or Data Engineer.

Strong proficiency in SQL and database development using:

Hive (HiveQL)

PostgreSQL

Snowflake (SnowSQL, Streams, Tasks, etc.)

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schema, and ETL best practices.

Experience with data migration, data modeling, and performance tuning in hybrid/cloud environments.

Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting is a plus.

Familiarity with data integration tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, Airflow, or DBT is desirable.
