Data Scientist Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis.

2. Collaborate with business, product management and engineering departments to understand business needs and devise possible solutions.

3. Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis.

4. Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design.

5. Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers

6. Bring an outside in view by constantly staying updated and engaged with developing industry standards

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

1. Masters Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math or related field.

2. 5+ years practical experience with Python, R, SQL, SAS, ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics.

3. Rich experience in data mining and statistical analysis. Candidates with experience in the domain of banking would have an advantage.

4. Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.

5. Excellent in analysing and problem-solving using data.

6. Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modelling skills.

7. Experience with programming languages such as Java/C++ an asset.

8. The candidate must have an ability to establish strong, meaningful, and lasting relationships with others. He will be approachable and likable, inspiring trust and a feeling of dependability in others, bearing more credibility to his insights and directives in the view of collaborating with personnel, senior management, and his colleagues
