ILM Data Archiving SAP Data Archiving & Document Management - Techno-Functional Consultant: Candidate with 8+ years of overall SAP experience, including at least 5 years in Data Archiving & Document Management to support our business application owners in planning and executing SAP data archiving & document management activities. He/She should have hands-on experience with SAP Data Archiving & Document Management along with a strong techno-functional background in any two key SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD, etc with understanding on data dependencies. Required Skills: - Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA Data Archiving and Document Management - Strong knowledge in any two SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and Logistics with good understanding of data dependencies across different business objects - Hands-on experience with SAP data archiving & document management configuration - Excellent communication skills for coordination with both business users and technical teams - Exposure to storage repository SAP IQ, Opentext etc and GDPR or other data privacy regulations related to retention and data lifecycle - Exposure to Document Management - Exposure to configuring and setting up SAP DMS on BTP, including repository creation, versioning, and security settings - Managing document creation, storage, retrieval, and deletion, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. - Defining and managing metadata attributes for documents, facilitating efficient searching and retrieval. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data eligible for archiving based on usage, retention policies, compliance requirements and to plan archiving needs across SAP modules - Provide guidance on archive object selection, retention periods, and legal/audit considerations - Configure and manage both standard/custom archiving objects - Simulate archiving scenarios on lower landscape and align with business for the reporting/reading needs - Support in establishing regular job execution, resolve issues, and validate archived data - Collaborate with basis, security, and compliance teams as needed - Prepare and maintain documentation for archiving approach and test outcomes

Role & responsibilities: 1 - Ensure sound design and operations of SAP Archiving and SAP Document Management (e.g., Vendor Invoice Management). Together with SAP Archiving Product Owner you will implement and support Archiving Projects. To work jointly with Functional Owners and Business on implementation of new archiving solutions (SAP Data Archiving and Document Archiving) To aligning with Functional Owners and Business, defining the configuration criteria for the new archiving process. To monitor the implementation from Development system, passing by Regression, Pre-production and finally in Production system, carrying out tests together with Functional Owners and Business To document the testing and approval evidence 2 - Design, enhance and run Data Volume Management methodologies and tools for SAP Landscape globally. Contribute to FinOps best practices To work jointly BASIS monitoring team (BASIS is responsible to identify tables in all SAP system that are increasing) After BASIS identify the table that is increasing and consuming considerable system memory, To identify the table owner. To support table owner to define a strategy to reduce the table size (SAP Data Archiving or Housekeeping process) To aligning with Functional Owners and Business, defining the configuration criteria for the new archiving or housekeeping process. Experience: 4-9 yrs. Location: Pune Skill Set: SAP ILM ARCHIVING DART JD: Must have 4+ yrs. Of relevant experience in SAP ILM Archiving module Strong experience in SAP data archiving & document archiving Working Knowledge in SAP data archiving, ILM, DART, System Decommissioning, carveout. Hands-on experience in migrating to SAP Data Archiving and across different versions of SAP. Data archiving skills in ILM is mandatory. Good understanding on country specific legal requirements. GDPR/SOX/DPDP etc. Experience with S/4 HANA or ECC in at least one Functional module. Experience with SAP HANA database is a plus. Must have strong Functional skillset from FI / CO, Logistics. Strong communications skills - verbal and written in English is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities: Design end-to-end ILM and archiving solutions tailored to enterprise business and regulatory needs. Develop and maintain ILM strategy and policies for structured and unstructured data. Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of ILM/archiving tools and technologies (e.g., OpenText, IBM, SAP ILM, Azure Archive Storage, etc.). Collaborate with application, database, infrastructure, legal, and compliance teams to align ILM policies with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). Define and implement data classification, retention schedules, archiving rules, and deletion workflows. Architect solutions to optimize storage cost and performance by tiering or archiving cold/inactive data. Provide subject matter expertise for enterprise archiving solutions during audits and legal discovery events. Oversee technical implementations including POCs, configurations, integrations, and migrations. Monitor ILM solution performance and ensure high availability and scalability. Document solution designs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in ILM and data archiving. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years as a solution architect in ILM or data archiving domains. Strong hands-on experience with one or more ILM/archiving platforms such as: SAP ILM / SAP Data Archiving OpenText InfoArchive IBM Spectrum Protect / Tivoli Azure Blob Storage / Amazon S3 Glacier Veritas Enterprise Vault Proven track record of delivering ILM/archiving projects in large enterprise environments. Deep understanding of data privacy and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA). Familiarity with data lifecycle, tiered storage, and archiving concepts. Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
