Job Description

As a Data Analyst specializing in Data Visualization & Reporting, you will be responsible for working with large datasets obtained from various inspection sources such as LiDAR, drones, and thermal imaging. Your primary tasks will include building insightful dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and deploying predictive models and statistical analyses to detect anomalies and prevent failures. Collaboration with engineering and operations teams will be crucial as you translate complex data into operational insights. Ensuring high-quality, clean, and consistent data through the implementation of validation pipelines will be part of your routine. You will also leverage basic electrical domain knowledge for enriched interpretations, focusing on fault detection, insulator/conductor analysis, and more. Furthermore, your role will involve continuously improving analysis workflows and automating repetitive data processes. To excel in this position, you should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst/Data Scientist. Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R for data manipulation is essential. Strong skills in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker are required, along with experience in working with time-series data or sensor-based data from industrial sources. Exposure to predictive analytics, ML algorithms, or data modeling techniques will be beneficial. A solid understanding of data pipelines and best practices in data management is necessary. Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP for data processing is a plus, and background or familiarity with geospatial data or tools like QGIS is considered a bonus. Preferred qualifications for this role include a degree in Data Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, as well as prior experience with inspection data, IoT, or utilities/power transmission systems. Knowledge of domain-specific platforms used for power line inspections and certification in data analysis/ML platforms like Google Data Analytics or Microsoft DA will be advantageous. In addition to technical skills, soft skills such as strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to convert technical findings into business-focused insights are essential. Being a team player with cross-functional collaboration experience and effective written and verbal communication skills will contribute to your success in this role.,
