Job Description for Sales Executive- Substation Automation System (SAS) Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Sales/Proposal Engineer for our Substation Automation System (SAS) division. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical and commercial proposals for utility, industrial, and infrastructure customers. This is an in-office role based in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Key Responsibilities: 1. Proposal & Offer Preparation: Study customer specifications and tender documents related to Substation Automation (IEC 61850-based systems, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA). Prepare techno-commercial offers including BOMs, solution architectures, and cost sheets. Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams for pricing and technical clarifications. 2. Customer Communication: Interact with customers via email/phone to understand exact technical requirements. Provide pre-bid clarifications, deviations, and compliance statements. 3. Documentation & Records: Maintain records of submitted offers, revisions, and communication trails. Create proposal templates, datasheets, and system architectures in line with company standards. 4. Product & Solution Knowledge: Understand SAS components: IEDs, Gateways, HMI/SCADA software (e.g., Siemens SICAM, Zenon COPADATA), protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3). Stay updated with competitor solutions and market trends. 5. Coordination & Internal Support: Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Procurement teams for complete proposal lifecycle. Support sales executives in pricing justification and technical backup during negotiations. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Power Engineering Experience: Minimum 1 to 5 years in Substation Automation / Control & Relay Panels / Protection Systems Technical Skills: Knowledge of IEC 61850 architecture and SCADA systems Experience in preparing proposals, BOQs, compliance sheets Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, AutoCAD (basic level), and email communication Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication Attention to detail and structured documentation Time management and ability to handle multiple inquiries Compensation: Based on experience and interview performance Includes fixed CTC + performance-based incentives Interested candidates can email on [HIDDEN TEXT] or call on 73049 95406

Understand business goals, challenges, and customer requirements for value proposition building. 13. Align and utilize the entire team to satisfy customers- business goals. 14. Engage in technical discussions with customers and provide technical support to Sales and Marketing teams. 15. Create cost-optimized propositions for small, medium, and complex tenders. 16. Coordinate and follow up with clients and internal teams for proposal preparation. 17. Prepare Technical Queries sheets and organize proposal meetings. Additional Skills: 1. Experience in contract negotiation in a commercial environment. 2. Proficiency in MS Project is an added advantage. 3. Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices in engineering. 4. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 5. Familiarity with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) standards and regulations is a plus.
