Content Developer

As a Content Developer with at least 3 years of experience, you will be responsible for creating, organizing, and deploying content on our websites using your exceptional skills in HTML, CSS, English copywriting, and Graphics Design. Your primary focus will be on collaborating with our web development and marketing teams to design, develop, and maintain engaging online content, email newsletters, and rich-internet user experiences. Your duties will include creating and publishing unique content, developing landing pages, banner ads, graphics for blogs, SEO-optimized content pages, email newsletter templates, video content, and coordinating with other content writers/freelancers for copyrighting work. Additionally, you may be required to perform occasional functional web development tasks involving PHP, AJAX, and/or Javascript. Responsibilities: - Build, deploy, and update content pages on our websites following HTML/CSS standards while maintaining the site's style. - Develop ad copies, graphics, and media to enhance site visibility and for advertising purposes. - Communicate with external freelance content writers, provide actionable data & ideas, and oversee content creation for our web properties. - Aid in creating email newsletters, blog posts, and social media content. - Assist in enhancing graphic designs for the logo, letterhead, and other promotional materials. - Create new websites using open-source CMS like WordPress and Joomla, and customize them for design and functionality. - Occasionally develop or customize plugins/modules for specific web functionality. Requirements and Primary Skills: - Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in web design, content writing, or web publishing. - Strong English communication skills and attention to detail. - Experience managing projects on freelancer platforms like ODesk or eLance. - Self-starter with problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or in small teams. - Track record of delivering assignments responsibly with minimum supervision. - Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. - Proficiency in HTML/XHTML, CSS, and design software like PhotoShop/Illustrator/GiMP. - Understanding of Web 2.0 style designs, cross-browser design issues, and CSS/Web standards. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of WordPress CMS. - Experience with PHP/MySQL based websites or any CMS. - Understanding of Search Engine Optimization standards. - Familiarity with multimedia/video creation tools.
